About this forum

Under REACH substances with certain hazardous properties (e.g. carcinogens, endocrine disruptors and persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic substances) can be included in the so-called Candidate List - Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) - and subsequently be regulated to make sure that the risks associated with these substances are properly controlled. This can be a challenge for companies that use SVHCs in their production, as the use of some substances can be forbidden or subjected to authorisation.

In this forum, we offer activities and tools focused on the challenges posed to companies that handle substances of concern. In particular, you can:
  • share your experience or learn about others' experience in "Discussions"
  • have access to selected guidelines and references to relevant material on substances of concern in "Links to selected materials"
  • consult a guidance (in Danish) on how to proceed when you handle SVHC substance in "Tool"

The material in this forum is developed under DHI's performance contract with the Education and Research Ministry (2013-2015).
